BEIJING, Aug. 31 (CPNN) -- The 16th APEC Energy Ministerial Meeting, the 72nd APEC Energy Working Group Meeting and associated meetings will be held from Sept. 7 to 11 in Beijing, the National Energy Administration (NEA) announced on Aug. 24.
The meeting will advance practical cooperation in three priority areas: high-quality universal energy access, AI+Energy, and coordinated energy governance for the Asia-Pacific.
As one of the 11 specialized ministerial-level meetings during the 2026 APEC China Year, the meeting is hosted by the National Energy Administration and organized by Beijing Municipal People's Government.
The meeting will serve as a key platform for policy dialogue, technology exchange and project matchmaking, advancing coordinated governance of clean energy across the region.
Riding on this conference, China will share its experience in energy transition, offer Chinese solutions for clean-energy development, deepen practical Asia-Pacific energy cooperation, and promote the green, low-carbon and sustainable development of regional energy sectors.
China will host the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in Shenzhen in November, which marks the country's third time hosting the event following Shanghai in 2001 and Beijing in 2014.
